What do you enjoy the most about CrossFit?

I have a swimming background and an endurance running background. I was introduced to CrossFit by a college friend and started to get back into shape after College swimming ended

What does your typical training day look like?

Most training days I wake up eat breakfast, head to the gym and do a metcon strength and accessory, eat lunch and then head back to the gym for another metcon and accessory or conditioning piece

What does it take to succeed at the highest levels in your sport?

To succeed at the highest level it takes determination, dedication and discipline. You have to sleep, eat and breathe the sport.

How do you stay motivated?

Staying motivated can be hard. To stay motivated I set goals and journal daily

What role does recovery play in your athletic success, how much time do you dedicate to it each week?

Recovery plays a huge role in success. It helps keep me healthy so I can keep doing what I love. I dedicate 20-30 min a day to recovery and more like 45-60minutes on Sunday

What’s the best recovery tip you’ve ever received?

The best tip I received is that recovery is as important if not more than the training itself. Everyone is training hard so who can recover better is going to be step ahead.

For athletes looking to achieve something I would say set goals and journal daily. It is not always easy but keep your eye on the goals and surround yourself with a positive support system that supports your goals

My favorite Sidekick tool is the Eclipse or the Swerve. They are easy to use and small enough to carry in my bag with me everywhere!

Whats the best part about being a Sidekick Athlete?

Being a Sidekick Athlete is amazing because there is a support group that believes in you and helps you reach your goals!! That's the best part!
