Why you'll love it

Wake up dormant glutes

Years of sitting train your glutes to shut off. HipStance forces these muscles to instantly wake up, activate, and stabilize your body.

Corrects hip drop

Weak side glutes let your hip drop with every step, straining your knees and back. HipStance trains them to keep your pelvis level.

Helps train neutral pelvic tilt

Tight hip flexors tip your pelvis forward and arch your lower back. HipStance stretches the front of your hip while your glutes pull it back to neutral.

Stops your knees caving in

Weak glutes let your knee collapse inward when you step, squat or land. HipStance trains them to keep your knee tracking straight.

Hip strength vs. hip stability

Traditional hip exercises

Builds strength

Traditional exercises lock your hips and move your legs. That makes the muscles stronger, but it doesn’t train stability.

The HipStance method

Builds strength + stability

HipStance locks your legs and makes your hips do the balancing. Every wobble trains the hips to stabilize, the way it has to when you walk, run, and lift

For Hip pain

Take the load off sore hips

Questions? We got you.

  • How does HipStance work?

HipStance is a balance trainer you kneel on. Balancing from your knees takes your feet and ankles out of the equation, so your hips do the stabilizing work. It targets your glutes, adductors, quads and hamstrings.

  • Will it hurt my knees?

HipStance includes a padded knee rest designed specifically for kneeling. Some pressure is normal at first. If you feel sharp or lasting knee pain, stop, and don't continue until it's resolved.

  • How is this different from isolated hip exercises?

Those exercises build hip strength, but you do them lying down or slowly, with no balance demand. In real life your hips have to catch and correct your body while you're upright and moving. HipStance trains that stability directly. Many people use it as the next step after traditional hip exercises.

  • Why not just use a balance ball or foam pad?

Balance balls and foam pads are built for standing, so your ankles do most of the work. Kneeling on them means your knee sinks, and there's no way to ease in. HipStance is designed for kneeling. It gives you knee and shin support, progression from a flat, stable base up to 360° wobble, band work for your hamstrings, and free lifetime app guidance.

  • How often should I use it, and for how long?

10-20 minutes a day, training both sides. The Sidekick app builds your sessions and tells you when to progress.

  • What should I feel?

You should feel your glutes and the muscles around your hips working from your very first session. If you mostly feel it in your knee or lower back, reset your position using the setup guide or the app.

  • What's the band for?

The included resistance band adds hamstring and posterior-chain work. Shin push-downs add quad loading. Together they let you train the whole hip, not just balance.

  • I've never used a balance trainer. Will it be too hard?

No. You start on a flat, stable base with the most points of contact. Each setup scales Easy, Medium and Hard, so you only add challenge when you're ready.

  • What's included with the app?

Every HipStance comes with free lifetime access to the Sidekick app. It includes guided programs, progression cues, and session tracking.

  • Can HipStance help with my hip condition?

HipStance is a training tool. Many people use it as part of a hip strength and stability program. If you're managing a specific condition, talk to your healthcare provider about whether it's right for you

  • How much weight can it hold?

Up to 136 kg (300 lb).

  • How big is it?

    [45.7 × 24.1 × 12.7 cm (18 × 9.5 × 5 in)]. It weighs [2.5 kg].
