I love the design upgrades for the AxisBoard Pro!

I love the design upgrades for the AxisBoard Pro! The added variability in balance drills opens up a whole new world, and I love the texture of the board. I feel like it really activates my feet. My favorite part by far is NO MORE VELCRO!! That got old quick.

Was a little skeptical at first and afraid that this was going to be a typical gimmicky "gadget"

Was a little skeptical at first and afraid that this was going to be a typical gimmicky "gadget". It is anything but that. As a rehab professional (Sidekick was heavily vetted by my colleagues), I am seriously impressed with this device and its efficacy towards dysfunctions and syndrome in the foot and the lower body. It has helped patients immensely and I'm so certain it will do the same for you.

Better than everything else for foot / ankle rehab

I've tried Mobo board, BOSU, Revbalance board and now this. This was better than all of the others for foot and ankle rehab. Using it daily and I'm loving it.

AxisBoard

Unlike traditional 2-footed balance boards, the low-height and single-leg design of the AxisBoard forces the engagement of the intrinsic foot and ankle muscles.

Focuses on foot & ankle
  • Targeted foot and ankle engagement
  • Strengthens the foot and ankle muscles
  • Works in 3 minutes a day
  • Portable and Convenient
  • 30+ movement variations for 10+ injuries
  • Safe, low height with minimal fall risk
  • PT guidance through the app + booklet

Our single-leg board offers more targeted rehabilitation for foot and ankle injuries, ensuring quicker recovery compared to a traditional balance board that utilizes larger muscle groups.

Other Brands

Traditional 2-footed balance boards unavoidably puts the focus on the knees and hips during use. The foot and ankle muscles aren’t activated to the same degree.

Focuses on knees and hips
  • Emphasizes knees and hips
  • Targets the hips and knees
  • Requires at least 10 minutes
  • Large, awkward and hard to store
  • 1 configuration
  • Unbalanced, high height can lead to falls
  • No guidance or instructions

The generic balance board places more focus on the hips and knees instead of the foot and ankle. The high height with difficult balance also brings a steep learning curve and introduces a fall-risk for users.

How to use

Method 1: Injury-Focused Routine

  1. Find your injury: Use the guide to locate your specific injury or focus area.
  2. Mobility routine: Begin the step-by-step mobility routine to improve range of motion and prep your body for strengthening.
  3. Strength routine: Follow the strength exercises and use the recommended AxisBoard setups for your injury. Everything is tailored to help you recover faster and safer.

Method 2: Freestyle for Strength & Balance

Explore all the AxisBoard configurations and notice which ones feel hardest to control — that’s your body telling you where you’re weakest. Focus your training on those challenging setups to build strength, stability, and better movement patterns. Perfect for injury prevention or making your workouts more effective.

Questions? We got you.

  • What does the AxisBoard actually do?

The AxisBoard helps improve foot strength, balance, and ankle stability by introducing controlled variability into your lower leg movement. That variability wakes up the small stabilizing muscles in your feet and ankles, which supports better mobility and joint control. Over time, this can help improve overall lower leg function, reduce stiffness, and support recovery from injuries like plantar fasciitis or ankle sprains.

  • Is the AxisBoard safe to use?

Yes. The AxisBoard is designed for progressive, at-your-own-pace training. It’s safe to use with a nearby support like a wall or chair, and all routines in the guide are developed by a licensed physical therapist.

  • What shoe sizes does the AxisBoard work for?

The AxisBoard fits most adult shoe sizes comfortably — from about women's size 5 up to men's size 13. If you’re on the smaller or larger end, you might just need to tweak your foot placement a bit, but it’ll still work just fine.

  • Can I use it on hard floors or carpet?

You can use it on both! Just make sure the surface is flat and stable.

  • What makes this different from other balance boards or wobble boards?

Most wobble boards focus on general balance, but they don’t train the small stabilizing muscles in your lower legs. The AxisBoard is built for targeted single-leg training, helping you isolate and strengthen the muscles that support your feet and ankles. That means more control and better results — whether you’re recovering from an injury or working on improving your balance.

  • Can this help with my injury?

Very likely. The AxisBoard is designed to support recovery from a wide range of foot and ankle issues — especially when you're dealing with things like pain, stiffness, or instability. The included guide provides routines tailored to different injuries, helping you build strength, improve mobility, and move with more confidence.

  • How often should I use it?

3–5 times a week is a good place to start. Even just 5–10 minutes everyday can make a huge difference over time.

  • How long until I see results?

Many users begin noticing improvements in balance and muscle control within 1–2 weeks. Consistency is key — the more regularly you use it, the more noticeable your results will be.
