Amazing therapy tool!

I have been using gua-sha scrapers for pain management and healing for about 6 years. They work on two levels, first, they help break up tight muscle knots and release the metabolites (toxins) away into the bloodstream while, this also 'releases' tension on the joint so that joint injuries (like my spinal stenosis) cause less spasms and paresthesia (tingling, numbness, etc) they also improve circulation and work well with stretching and exercises to promote strength building, and speed sports recovery. So, yes, gua sha has been invaluable to me, and has saved countless trips to the doctor. My other scrapers are tiny in comparison, this scraper is large enough to fit around my quads or hamstrings, but also contoured enough so that I can scrape my own shoulders with the opposite hand. It is also hopeful to have a family member or spouse to scrape your back, hamstrings and calves while you are lying on your stomach. The edges are smooth and feel natural on the skin. This tool is not cheap, but it is medical grade quality. You can think of purchases like this as coming out of your medical budget (and some folks might even be able to get reimbursements from their insurance carrier). Regardless of how you pay, if you have someone who can help scrape you, then it is priceless. (yes, you can also scrape yourself to some degree, but its easier to relax if you have a helper)

The large bow tool is nicely designed, with comfortablIte handles; It appears that the handles are plastic coverings over steel (meaning the entire length of the tool is solid stainless steel!) . The exposed section of the scraper body is polished stainless steel. The overall design shape makes this an effective tool to massage large muscle groups. In fact, you could address the width of the back with this massage tool.Inspection finds this large gua sha tool to be free of scratches and nicks. It has a nice smooth curvature that fits well against large muscles like the thighs and shoulders.I appreciate the inclusion of the Revive Emollient Spray, but I prefer to use my own blend of massage oil. That is not to detract from their offering, although it is an ample quantity spray bottle (2.7oz).For the cost of $120 (after using the 20% discount coupon), this is still a signficant gua sha investment. The massage tool does steel sturdy and durable, with a professional customized case.Based on initial impressions, this large gua sha massage tool receives a 4.5+ star rating.

I was excited to try a product endorsed by Annie Thorisdottir. I’ve followed her on instagram for quite a while.Having just started back up my heavy weight lifting program after a pregnancy, I have lots of soreness to experiment on.This bow is super heavy and could possibly, hopefully, last a lifetime. That is something to consider because it is pricey.With the included emollient the bow feel amazing! But many areas are hard to reach, still many areas are accessible for self massage. It’s still effective without the wintergreen smelling emollient but the emollient is effective and you don’t need too much.The case it comes in is nice and I can fit this in my gym bag which is ideal. It is heavy though and pretty long.Using the tool on my partner’s back, similar to the advertised photos, does cause redness and abrasion that according to some, is a good thing and a sign of healing. Apparently it does not hurt.The bow allows incredible leverage and a powerful massage when used on someone else.This came in three boxes which is at least one box too many.I highly recommend this tool. I see no downsides if you’re willing to make the investment.

I’ve never seen a stainless gua sha massager, but instead usually seen the jade or quartz versions, much smaller ones. This is definitely going to be an even more durable massage tool than even the stone ones. It’s not going to break if it’s dropped and it will be easy to clean. This tool does glide across the skin quite easily, an excellent sculpting and massage tool. This is a fabulous addition to anyone’s massage routine, especially for those in Crossfit.There are instructions that come with this massager, along with a brief history and a list of purported benefits. YouTube always has a wealth of tutorials to reference, but included is a link to Sidekick University classes. In addition to the gua sha massager, there’s a nice case for storage. Let’s just say I’m quite impressed with everything about this massager. A high-quality gua sha massager, albeit fairly pricey. The addition of the classes, however, makes it worth the investment.
