Our Story

Being a Crossfit athlete and plagued with injuries himself, our Founder, Hin Lai, started looking for a better solution to his problems. He stumbled upon “scraping” through his Chiropractor, and having felt the remarkable benefits, knew he had to share it with the world. And with that, our Sidekick journey began.

As CEO, my main focus is overall strategy, but I’m an engineer at heart and love getting into the nitty-gritty about each product. We have some very exciting products in the works and I can’t wait to show it to the world. I love a good challenge, and there is a new one everyday at Sidekick. I’m always excited by the variety and complexity of problems we have to tackle. The saying “the journey is the reward” couldn’t be more true. If there is ever a day when we have everything figured out, I’ll be out looking for my next challenge.

I am the Operations Manager at Sidekick which involves taking care of all the daily administrative duties behind the scenes to make sure everything is running smoothly. We have a great team and it’s also a huge positive in my life to work for a company that understands the importance of health and fitness at work and at home!

I am the Product Manager at Sidekick. This means I’m responsible for creating concepts for new products, consulting with engineers to draw up and design them, having prototypes made and tested, and then bringing it all through production so that Sidekick’s customers can benefit from enhanced recovery tools and products! I am also a huge music nerd! If you ever want to see me in my element, come find me in the pit at a concert or music festival: pure bliss. I used to write a music blog and did a mini-vlog to document my trip to Sasquatch a few years ago.

I’m responsible for all the design work and photography at Sidekick.

I love seeing the company and brand grow from when I first joined and helped come up with the name and brand identity. In my spare time I love traveling and road trips. I once even drove 14 hours (one way) to get In-N-Out burgers for my birthday over a weekend.
