10 minutes a day to stretch & strengthen? Yes, please.

Heel Hero positions your foot in controlled dorsiflexion - toes elevated, heel dropped - so every rep targets the tissue where it's weakest and tightest.

The deepest stretch you've ever felt.

The toe-wedge platform puts your plantar fascia and Achilles under real tension - not just a passive calf stretch.

Start easy. Progress with time.

Seven platform angles and 6 toe wedge settings (20°–45°) so you can dial in exactly where you are in your recovery.

Flip it. Train your knees.

Turn it around and it becomes a decline surface for patellar tendon rehab, deep squats, and split squats.

How to use

Injury-Focused Program

Start your recovery with a clear, step-by-step plan:

  1. Find your injury in the Injuries section.
  2. Follow the recommended drills.
  3. Progress through each stage gradually and safely.

General Strength & Stability

Build a stronger, more stable base — injured or not:

  1. Choose exercises from the Strength section.
  2. Focus on movements that feel weak or challenging.
  3. Keep progressing with new variations as you get more comfortable.

Heel Hero FTW!

I have had a couple years of plantar faciitus, and also achilles tendinopathy from too much running and years of gymnastics. Heel Hero had a very easy to follow guide so it was very easy to get started and do the exercises correctly. Plus the build quality feels very top notch!

Consistent Recovery

I've had my Heel Hero for several weeks now. I have a number of issues from my toes to my knees that have come from years of working out and not putting too much effort into recovery. I see a physiotherapist when things get bad, but one thing this tool has given me is consistency in stretching out my arches and ankles. My physio certainly encouraged me to do the same things, but I've never committed as much as I have since getting the Heel Hero.

Is it working? I don't feel my plantar fasciitis anymore, and in general, my feet feel more relaxed. I'm now working on the achillies which is pretty chronic, so I know it'll take time.

I'd definitely recommend it.

I love slant boards but this isn’t it

I purchased the Heel Hero in spite of its eye watering price because the heel holder and the toe incline were unique among other slant board options. I figured the price would be worth it as it appeared well-constructed and engineered. Most of it is. The heel piece is a flimsy piece of plastic that constantly pops out during use and I’ve only had it a few weeks and I’m already in fear of one of the plastic pegs that hold it in place breaking as that will render it useless. This is the biggest flaw and the reason why I would advise people to not buy it.

The grippiness of the board is not sufficient (I’ve tried in socks, different shoes and barefoot), in theory it’d be less important as you have the edge piece to hold your foot into place but again it pops out multiple times even when just trying to use it for 30s.

The spring of the incline is overactive which makes it hard to store away, it constantly wants to pop up when I’m trying to flatten it out to put away. Overall, super frustrating experience with the product and I would be unhappy with the product at a $50 price point, let alone the $100 that I paid on sale or the $120 it retails at

Hi Miranda, so sorry the Heel Hero has been a letdown, we want to make this right. We already have your order on file, could you just reply with a quick photo of the heel piece that keeps popping out? Once we see it we'll look into it and get you sorted right away.

I never knew how poorly I was stretching...

I never knew how poorly I was stretching my calves, ankles and feet until I got the Heel Hero. I'm about 200 pounds and it's incredibly sturdy no matter what exercise I'm doing. It's incredibly easy to use intuitively by itself, with the Sidekick app OR with the book that comes included in the bundle. The heel stopper is a game changer and so is the adjustable toe section. I am extremely happy with my purchase and I'm super excited to get back to my old life after this injury. Recommending to EVERYONE!! Thank you!!!

Great Recovery Tool for Achilles & Foot Health

Purchased the Heel Hero to help with my recovery after an Achilles tendon rupture, and it's been a useful addition to my rehab routine. My wife is also using it to help manage her plantar fasciitis, so it's been beneficial for both of us. We plan to keep using it even after recovery to maintain ankle flexibility, calf mobility, and lower leg strength. It's simple to use, feels sturdy, and has been a worthwhile investment for our long-term foot and ankle health.

Easy to use and solid.

Got this specifically for my daughter who has mild CP. she is working on Dorsiflexion and this has been great and easy for her to use daily to stretch her ankle and calf. It’s made great and surprisingly heavy duty.

This is a super solid; thoughtfully made piece of

This is a super solid; thoughtfully made piece of equipment. I imagined I might travel with it but it’s actually pretty heavy - good because it’s sturdy. I live that I can adjust it so incrementally, especially at the toe it has a good range of lower angles that most slant boards lack. I am happy to have it in my arsenal. I like the booklet, but I couldn’t find the app in the App Store and it’s kind of a pain to QR code each exercise.

Hi Hannah, please download the app at rehab.sidekicktool.com

AFTER 3 Weeks

I’ve been using the Heel Hero incline board as part of my Achilles tendon recovery, and it has become an essential tool in my routine. What really makes a difference is the guidance provided: the QR codes linking to video tutorials are extremely helpful and ensure that exercises are performed correctly. It’s simple, effective, and perfectly suited for anyone dealing with Achilles or calf-related issues.

A week in and I'm already noticing a difference

Hi there, I struggle with ankle strength and achilles tendonitis. Before buying this, after a run, I always noticed pain/stiffness in my achilles for 36 hours. Always needed a rest day after. Yesterday, I forgot to use my pre-run inflammation cream and I have no symptoms today. It has all been pretty remarkable and I'm looking forward to seeing how else I can use the Heel Hero. Right now, I'm just doing three very basic stretches with the toe section raised (and then not) and then with the ball between my heels. I figure this will easily save me many PT appointments, no need to go now, so well worth the cost.

Deep stretch for the achillies, calf.

I'm really enjoying using the Heel Hero. I'm a runner, triathlete. My left calf has been really tight over the last year and this tool has been helpful to get a more comprehensive stretch than with a stretch strap. Its well made, and the fine adjustments you can make with the toe plate make all the difference in getting attention to the achilles, reducing plantar facitis, and tight calves. Recommended.

Solid product; quick support!

It’s a solidly made product, and if I needed help, Sidekick support was quick to respond and provided helpful details. Thank you! Only thing is that I wish the info booklet was a little less marketing and had more technical information. Great product all in all!

Solid Concept

I’ve known for some time that stretching my calf muscles is important for healthy feet. But I didn’t realize that doing this on an incline, and especially adding in the toe incline would make such a difference. I feel like I’m getting an entirely different and more effective stretch. Highly recommend.

Regaining strength and mobility

Following a very serious sprain, I've had ongoing issues with my ankle as well as the muscles in my foot. Mobility is reduced relative to my other ankle, and it's affecting my walking mechanics, which further exacerbates the problem

I've done physio for years and trying to progressively load the ankle has been difficult when using towels or other items to keep my foot at an incline - the instability makes me clench my foot muscles, which defeats the purpose of the exercises. With the heel hero I am no longer clenching, and I can feel the mobility in my ankle increasing

I’ve been using it for a week now and starting to really feel the benefits.
I also use the sidekick stability unit, my ankles are feeling stronger and more stable.

good solid start

this device and book address foot ankle issue that may also have calf implications ...it's used to stretch and perhaps strengthen areas that even address knee and hip stuff ...it is constructed of sturdy plastic and metal which isn't as fragile as another device I use...you need to be aware of moving parts carelessly can end up pinching so know what you want to do to avoid surprises ...their books are very informative and have routines to try ...kudos to those on their team that have added books to the tools

Easy to start, big stretch, secure

Very secure, doesn't slip and slide even on hard flooring, and doesn't require any effort to set up. I started using this right out of the box and placed it somewhere I always stand to think, and i can definitely feel it's a deeper stretch than I've ever felt on my calves and Achilles! I've struggled with calf tightness and poor dorsiflexion for almost my whole life , and this tool makes me feel like i can really start to make real sustainable progress

How many pounds or kg does this tool support?

Sidekick

Hi, this supports up to 400lbs :)

Questions? We got you.

  • What does the Heel Hero actually do?

Heel Hero puts your foot in a controlled toes-up position so you can safely load the plantar fascia, Achilles, and ankle through a deeper range. Instead of passive stretching, it lets you build strength in the exact position your tissue needs to heal. It also doubles as a decline platform for knee exercises.

  • Is the Heel Hero safe to use?

Yes. Heel Hero is designed for controlled, slow movements and safe home rehab. The wide base and non-slip surface keep your foot stable during training. It supports up to 400 lbs. As with any rehab tool, start gradually and work within a pain-free or tolerable range. If recovering from surgery or a major injury, follow your clinician's guidance.

  • What shoe sizes does the Heel Hero work for?

Heel Hero fits foot sizes women's 5 to men's 13 and works barefoot, in socks, or athletic shoes. The platform supports small and large feet comfortably because the movement happens at the ankle, not the edges of the device.

  • Can I use it on hard floors or carpet?

Yes. Heel Hero is stable on hardwood, tile, gym flooring, and carpet. The base grips the surface to reduce slipping during slow, controlled exercises.

  • What makes this different from slant boards?

A slant board tilts the entire foot as one piece. Heel Hero separates the toes and heel, which creates real plantar fascia tension and deeper Achilles loading. This allows strength-based rehab instead of simple stretching.

  • Can this help with my injury?

Heel Hero supports rehab for common foot, Achilles, ankle, and knee problems such as plantar fasciitis, Achilles pain, stiff ankles, and anterior knee pain. It does not replace medical care, but it gives you a way to safely strengthen the tissues involved. If pain is severe or worsening, consult a healthcare professional.

  • How often should I use it?

Most people benefit from short daily sessions or 3 to 5 sessions per week. Consistency matters more than intensity. Start with low volume and increase gradually as your tolerance improves.

  • How long until I see results?

Many people notice reduced stiffness and better movement within a few weeks. Long-term tissue change takes time, usually 4 to 8 weeks of consistent training. Progress depends on injury history, severity, and how regularly you use it.
