I'm loving the Sidekick. I've run 14 marathons and always get shin splints at some point and have to use anti-inflammatories to make it through the run. I'm determined to finish this next marathon without the need of Advil. I purchased the Sidekick because although PT is helpful, it's a $40 copay per visit and more than 30 minutes away. I'm able to do the PT exercises with the Sidekick, less than the price of 2 PT visits. I love the app - the videos and set-up examples are so helpful. I also use the book when I'm taking a tech break. So far (fingers crossed) no shin splints! I also have a weak ankle from a sprain a few months ago, so have been working on strengthening my ankles with this product. I highly recommend this. At first I was weary of the price but then reflected on how much I've spent over the years on PT, exercise bands, foam rollers, etc. and realized the price is worth it. I've been pleasantly surprised at how just 10 minutes a day can really make a difference. Something new this year - I've felt some shin splints coming after a fast workout, but they've gone away after a few days. I attribute it to the exercises and stretches I'm doing on the Sidekick. Well worth the investment and my time.
I’ve had plantar fasciitis since Sept 2023, and probably spent over $6000 on every type of treatment (physio, chiro, massage, shockwave close to 20x over 6 different phases, and including 4x$1000 PRP). Last year I did buy a $30 Amazon foot wobble board but it wasn’t quite as unstable as I wanted it to be. Fast forward to about 3wks ago and I finally got the Axis board Pro…and I’m finally running over 3x/wk and on consecutive days for the first time in over 2yrs. Using the axis board every day, the forefoot360 configuration, basically a minute on each foot, then maybe a set of pull ups, and repeat 5-7x, while watching the hockey game. Of all the compression sleeves, rollers, theraguns, calf stretchers, toe spacers, and even muscle scrapers I’ve got in the past, the axis board was probably the best piece of equipment to strengthen my foot and provide noticeable improvement within a few weeks.
My daughter started using the Sidekick last week and so far I think it’s been good. Too soon to experience any real improvements, but the exercises are easy for her to do and it only takes 10 min tops…..key for a teenager.
It has great ergonomics for treating all areas of the body. Will be buying a second one for my other location
Runners that are struggling with lower body injuries will benefit greatly from this! Would recommend
I struggle with plantar fasciitis and it stems from weak foot muscles. Starting using this and it has been a game changer! I love that it’s versatile and easy to put wherever I need to get the exercises in-as a busy mom of 2, it just comes with me around the house sometimes! Worth the investment!
I bought the ladderpod to better rehab my knee post a snowboarding injury. It came in two boxes and was very easy to assemble. Adjusting the height is quick and easy, and it's very stable even when jumping onto it. The handgrips are sturdy and perfect for providing extra support. The manual provides various exercises for different injuries or areas of focus that I found very helpful. I think it is a good deal because it is versatile and could potentially replace several pieces of exercise equipment such as a box or bench. Given that the ladderpod is quite pricey, it's versatility and adjustability makes it a better value.
After 16 years of chronic pain and avoiding sprinting due to what I thought were "Achilles issues," the Sidekick AxisBoard Pro has been life-changing.
I’m not even 10 days into the "easy program," and the results are already profound. By addressing what I now realize is posterior tibial tendinopathy, this tool has completely transformed my gait and corrected how my muscles fire from the foot up through the knee and hip.
For the first time in over a decade, my morning pain has SIGNIFICANTLY reduced, and I finally have the confidence to move without fear of re-injury. If you’ve dealt with long-term atrophy or improper movement patterns, this is the first piece of equipment I’ve found that actually solves the root cause. I cannot recommend it enough.
Simple to use and easy to be added into my routine mobility and activation. Progress can be felt within a week.
The setup is easy. The booklet is helpful with a lot of good information. I have been targeting lateral ankle sprains. I feel it triggering the pain points and working on my balance.
So helpful in firing certain muscles and being able to feel them work. I have only had the Sidekick a week and already have better balance. There is not a clear path of progression with foot drop and this really should be part of everyone’s recovery. Great for isolating different muscles.
We are a NCAA cross country / track & field team and have used many of Sidekick's products for our athletes to either prevent injuries or recover from injuries. Products like these have been much needed and we are very excited to have them for our athletes to be able to use. A game-changer in injury prevention and rehabilitation. Like going to the Doctor / Physical Therapist without actually having to.
My PT recommended getting a gua sha tool, and I stumbled onto the Sidekick. It’s been really helpful for my Achilles tendinitis. I’m happy to have the travel case, so I can bring it on all my adventures. 11/10 would recommend
Love my Echo scraper. This is a heavy duty tool, appears to be built to last and easy to use. I appreciate the videos and the storage case.
Following a very serious sprain, I've had ongoing issues with my ankle as well as the muscles in my foot. Mobility is reduced relative to my other ankle, and it's affecting my walking mechanics, which further exacerbates the problem
I've done physio for years and trying to progressively load the ankle has been difficult when using towels or other items to keep my foot at an incline - the instability makes me clench my foot muscles, which defeats the purpose of the exercises. With the heel hero I am no longer clenching, and I can feel the mobility in my ankle increasing
I got this as I treat a lot of runners and people with pelvic floor concerns. Foot and ankle strength plays a huge role in my patient's recovery and this has been on my list to order for several months. I just got mine and I love using it with myself and my patients! It is so easily adjustable to make it my balance needs. The materials are high quality. I can't wait to use it more in my clinic!
Got this to supplement my physio rehab. I really appreciate the booklet with the app and videos— makes injury rehabbing more clear. Going to use this to increase general strength in both ankles once my injury recovery is complete!
It may seem expensive but it is a well-designed, versatile piece of equipment that takes up minimal floor space. I like the large range of adjustability for the platform height. I am a runner so I find myself using this to warm up before my runs and stretching afterwards. Would recommend.
After more than a year of rehab therapy and procedures to treat bilateral achilles tendinopathy, I'm finally starting to feel a difference using the AxisBoard Pro for just one week. The persistent pain I've felt in my heels has already lessened, and my feet feel stronger. I'm looking forward to feeling even better as I explore the many different configurations and exercises.
I didn’t expect a small piece of gear to make this big of a difference, but the Axis Sidekick Pro has been one of the most useful tools in my rehab process.
Coming off a calf injury, the hardest part wasn’t just getting back to running—it was rebuilding strength, stability, and confidence without overdoing it. I’ve also noticed better mobility and quicker recovery between runs. Legs feel looser, less beat up, and more responsive—especially after long trail efforts or high vert days. It’s become part of my daily routine at this point, not just something I use when things go wrong.
This thing is an absolute game changer!!!
Lots of wfollobble board type products available and touted as the next big thing but the Sidekick board really delivers on all counts.
Well made, easy to use.
Printed booklet supplied very good but the free app is excellent.
Pick your injury / niggle etc and you find a very clear well laid out rehab plan.
Easy to follow instructions with video demonstrations.
Takes me 15 minutes a day and 10 days in my ankle is definitely feeling better. Small enough to take on holiday which I intend to do shortly.
Cannot recommend highly enough.
The guidebook is extremely appreciated for how it provides both comprehensive descriptions on how the foot works, but also easy-to-follow routines that can be easily followed by a stressed mind.
Been using it over the last month, in both small dedicated sessions and also as a tool used in warmups for different activitiies; I'm very happy in feeling more confident in how my feet feel to have improved in fitness!
Bonus points for everything + toe seprators comfortably stores inside the board's box packaging!.
