My PT really like it and gave me some of the exercises to focus on while on vacation. Simple design that works.
I’ve had a bad ankle resulting in a very severe sprain many years ago. Recently the ankle has painfully frozen up (perineal tendinitis among other things), and I got the balance board as a way to supplement my current regime of stretches and strengthening exercises — because none of them can really get in the ankle and foot to work mobility, flexibility, and strength.
I’ve had the single leg balance board for about a week, and it is simple yet effectively targets my foot, ankle, and lower leg that nothing else has done. It also does it in a way that limits the actual range of motion in the exercises to what is appropriate. So far, so good, and I’m going to let my PT know about it, as they were interested.
This helped with my running program! I added to daily regiment to help with Shin splints
I can feet my foot strengthening and dorsiflexion improving already!
It looked good on paper but I remained sceptical as to how something so simple could really benefit. To my very pleasant surprise I'm totally impressed. Talk about an effective tool to strengthen feet muscles. Wow It really makes you work. Well done
The AxisBoard is just as described. It is a simple tool, but well designed. I am a mountain biker who has struggled with the foot strength and dexterity required for technical pedal control. After a short time using the AxisBoars, I can already tell see a big improvement.
I’ve had many different types but the quality shape and weight of this one is the best!!
74 years - very effective for balance-as a yoga practitioner it is harder than I expected. Really like the targeted approach and am seeing definite results.
Easy to use and performing just as advertised, great product
Has all the combinations to train every parts of my foot.
After 4 years and 4 PTs, I was still having foot pain (near cuboid) while Nordic skiing. I got desperate enough to take a chance on this board, and I can’t believe the improvements it’s made for me. Pain free skis finally!! I’m using the board in conjunction with the toe spreaders, can’t say if I would’ve had the same relief with just one or the other. But using them together I’m so so happy. I can tell it is activating muscles in my feet I haven’t used in awhile because my arches feel so exhausted after skiing now. Looking forward to getting stronger with this board.
I’ve used this board for three days and my arches and stabilizers are sore!! I have very tight calves, starting to get flat arches and some posterior shin splints, so I got this board to help strengthen my feet and arches. I’ve only done configurations 1-3 so far, 20 sec on each foot for 3 reps and I’m feeling it in my arches and even in my hip stabilizers. I’m excited to see how my feet and running improve!
I have decided to focus on foot and ankle mobility to address various long-term issues from the foot to knee to hip/back. I use sidekick and a single leg tib bar. The sidekick is fun to use, and after 3-4 times a week for three weeks, I notice a marked improvement in an ankle that has been stiff for about 45 years (I am 60). I recently was traveling and tried to keep up by doing similar exercises on a bosu---it didn't work out very well. The velcro on the sidekick is extremely high quality---I doubt a cheap knockoff would be as durable and pleasant to use. Ankles feel better when I do boxing/muay thai footwork. The exercise guide is simple and offers a good variety of exercises. Probably useful for trainers with various clients.
I had ankle surgery two years ago that allowed me to start running again after about six months of rehab. However, I still wasn’t able to run more than once a week without ankle pain. My PT felt that the problem was mostly mobility so I got an agility board. I’m now about two months into using it regularly and have progressed to three runs per week pain-free.
As a runner whose ankles were identified as the weakest ones since my elementary school days, this is perfect. If I scroll mindlessly on my phone, I can now feel my tiny ankle muscles working while I do it!
It has helped my balance and is exactly the type of equipment which you can use to build a steady practice to feel stronger and more functional.
Wonderfully fun piece of equipment to use for foot and ankle rehab.I enjoy using it.
I haven’t used it long enough to see a difference but it definitely is challenging and I can feel myself using my smaller foot/ankle muscles I otherwise have a hard time engaging.
The access board looks simple, but is well thought out, easy to use, and sturdy. You can hit the ankle from many different angles. I’ve been using it with a vibroplate for lower leg strengthening. Highly recommended for skiers who have had ankle trouble.
As an ATC I’ve been looking for something to target the mid foot better from a proprioceptive standpoint, the axis board does the trick and allows you to adapt to different feels and needs.
MY FEET ARE SOREEEE AFTER USE!!! MEANS THEY ARE GETTING THE WORK THEY NEED!
Excellent quality on the eclipse, comfortable in your hand and should be a part of every clinicians practice.
I had been doing body guasha for over several months with another tool and it had been helping out with my pain I had been feeling on my legs, hamstrings, and hips that I've had for years. However, there was slight pain that could never go away no matter how much I tried.
I decided to give the bow muscle scraper a try and on the first day I had already seen results! The pain I was trying to get rid of went away by 50% and I could stretch further than I had ever done without any pain! And this was on the first day too! This tool is also great on hard to reach areas. It has only been probably 2 weeks since I've had this and I will say I'm 99% recovered and I have a feeling that I will recover to 100% give it another week or two. I have never been so pleased with a product.
