Massage Therapist Approved

I got these for myself but also to see if I'd want to recommend them for my clients...and the answer is, YES! At least for some of them. I will say that this helped to open up the tarsal bones on my foot which helps to relieve my Morton's Neuroma. So it's good for me.I wear size 10 women's shoes and this fit my widish feet just fine.First off, READ THE DIRECTIONS. You are not meant to wear them for more than 15min at first. You definitely are not meant to wear them with shoes (as one reviewer complained about). These are SPACERS that are meant to really open up the space between the tarsal bones and help to realign the foot ***over time***. It could take months to help your feet to correct and properly strengthen. All in all I will definitely be telling some of my clients about this product because I do believe that it will be useful for certain issues like Neuromas and Hammertoes.

Great Toe Separators!

Dozens of different brands of toe separators are on the market, and I’ve tried many of them courtesy of Amazon’s Vine program. However, with rare exceptions the ones I’ve tried have been identical regardless of the name on them. I imagine that one factory in China churns them out by the billions, with the only distinction among them being the name on the package in which they’re distributed. These Sidekick Toe Separators are slightly different in subtle ways that make them superior to the others that I’ve tried. These are a little heavier, a little less flexible, a little less floppy, a little less squishy and the straps appear to be just a tiny bit thicker (although I haven’t miked them to be sure) than is typical for this type of product. Some or all of these differences may simply be due to the material--carbon, black dye, whatever--that was added to the raw silicone base to make it opaque black rather than the typical translucent white or, in some versions, translucent blue. Regardless, the end result is toe separators that fit more tightly, stay in place better and provide a little more separation than others of similar design. Those are all good things.I’m enthusiastic about toe separators in general, and I wear them all the time in the house, but these are a notch above the run-of-the-mill versions. I rate them at five enthusiastic stars.

Trying It for Hammertoes

What a nifty idea to deal with hammertoe. That problem tends to run in our family with 3 generations having it (thanks, grandma, for passing it down in our genes). This device is quite soft and stretchy which makes it work to slip over your toes. It feels strange at first and my little toe rebelled. Since it is mainly the two toes next to the big toe that are my problem, I'm thinking to cut off the part I don't want and just wear it over those 3 toes.Be aware that with your toes spaced out, some of your shoes may not be wide enough. You can wear it when barefoot or with your soft slippers. It warns you to not wear it at night.Start out wearing it for 15 minutes at a time for your foot to get used to it. The improved spacing of the toes is temporary at first, but I think with longer use, this could train the wayward toes to stay in place.

Seems to Work!

I have seen a lot of information on toe spreaders in recent months and decided to grab these to try out. The idea is that most modern shoes are bad for your feet since they tend to curve to a point in the front. This leads to your toes being pressed inward and eventually overlapping. Toe spreaders are designed to go in between your toes and stretch them outward again and back to where they should be. These so far seem to work great! I have fairly large toes and, after some wiggling and adjusting, am able to get them on and fitting comfortably. I have been leaving them on for 30 mins - 2 hours and usually they feel a little bit sore after from the stretching, but are clearly overlapping less (especially the pinky toe). Overall, these seem to work great and don't feel like they will break anytime soon!

Good Improvements

We use these on my wife's feet. Her feet are sore and achy after her workday and these really help to stretch out her toes, relieve some muscle tension, and seem to help with overall fatigue. I find that it's important to make sure you get these on completely, and make sure to adjust the toe separators so that they are aligned properly on both sides of your toe webbing. Make sure the toe rings are as far down as you can get them on the toes. Allow them to remain on following the guidelines in the instructions, and then massage her feet and toes just before and after removal. We noticed a marked difference in how straight her toes are over a couple weeks and overall she was experiencing less pain. These seem to be a very good present for her.

Questions? We got you.
