Built for more than rehab

PTs prescribe it, athletes train on it, and older adults count on it.

rehab

Coming back from injury

Rebuild a knee, hip, or ankle with low step-downs and the support handles, then raise the height as you get better.

performance

Building strength and power

Runners, skiers, and lifters run split squats, step-ups, and box jumps, then dial the height up 2 inches at a time.

mobility

Staying mobile for life

Older adults train balance and step strength with a handle to hold, so stairs and curbs feel easy again

professionals

For trainers, clinics & coaches

One box covers every client height and goal, with patient-friendly handles and a footprint that fits a busy floor.

One box replaces a whole rack

A rack of boxes, a stepper, and risers cost more together than one LadderPod.

A full set of plyo boxes, one fixed height each
An aerobic stepper with riser blocks
Stacked mats and plates people balance for step height

Buyers call it “ridiculous ROI.” One steel unit gives you 12 heights, so you buy once instead of buying box after box.

Costs less than three visits with a therapist, and it lasts for years.

After

300+ ways to train. From rehab to box jumps.

Why not a foam step box?

Very helpful after my hip replacement

I've been using the LadderPod for varying height box squats after my hip replacement. It's been nice being able to easily lower the height of my box squats as my strength increases during recovery.

I am thrilled with the simplicity in setting up

I am thrilled with the simplicity in setting up and adjusting the sidekick for myself and my patients. This translates into having my patients utilize the sidekick. I have started to see improvement in strengthening of core, hip, knee and back in my patients prior to and after surgery (see pictures)

VERSATILE HIGH VALUE PIECE OF EQUIPMENT

This unit works better than I imagined.
I bought it personally for our condo gym, as the Directors would not approve spending money.
First night, step-ups and burned 400 calories.
Second night: Horizontal planks -pronated & supinated, and side planks. Another 400 calories burned.
Suggestion. Our floor isn't level, so I had to jam something under one side of the back bar. It could use an adjustable circular screw foot at each end, so it is perfectly stable.
Thank you,

The LadderPod - everything I was hoping it would be!

The LadderPod is everything I was hoping it would be -- well built, stable, sturdy and easily adjustable. My wife really likes the accessibility to start with lower increments and slowly increase the height. It is so much better than the step platform I have been using. I highly recommend the LadderPod!

Great adjustable platform for those who don't have room for a power cage

The platform is solid. I do not think that I would have problems with jumping exercises. The number of levels is adequate. The width of the base fits around my kBox, which greatly increases the utility of my kBox. One of the platform levels is close enough to that of the kBox, to where I can essentially use it as a platform extension for the kBox. The included instruction manual is very useful and practical, much like that for the AxisBoard. The vertical grips could be a little more sturdy; but I do not think that they are at risk of failure. I think it would be nicer if they screwed in or clipped in or something more secure..

Post sciatica rehab

Grabbed this to help do rehab and strengthening exercises for my hips, knees etc after struggling with sciatica a few years ago and losing a lot of leg strength.

It’s been helping a lot and I appreciate not only the exercises but that this is so compact but versatile for my small living space!

Worth the money!

Before getting the ladder pod, I was having to figure out how to do PT exercises with things that were around the house or the neighborhood as I don’t have a gym membership. So I would use a stair, an aerobic step platform, a bench, furniture in the house (just FYI- the couch or an ottoman is difficult to do some of these exercises as it is too cushy) or children’s playground equipment. A child even wanted to know why I was using their playground. Lol, little tyrant. Now I have it all-in one PLUS the balance rods are very helpful. I can now change the height easily and since it’s in my home- VERY convenient. Anytime I walk by I can do a set.
It’s a lot of money- but since I am not willing to pay for a gym membership, this is much cheaper in the long run, I will always have this piece of equipment and since I am aging (50’s), I need to be more focused on knee/leg exercises. For me it’s totally worth it.

Love my LadderPod

This is a great piece of gym equipment to help strengthen my knees. It is solid and the poles are very helpful for support when I’m doing my knee raise/lower at an elevated height. A big benefit that it can be adjusted to various heights as I progress in my strengthening. A definite plus during the ski season.
It is easy to assemble and sturdy. I find it definitely worth the price.

Great Rehab Tool for Strength and Mobility

Very happy I finally pulled the trigger and got the Ladderpod. Finally, no more need to buy and insert/remove risers from my old plastic "aerobic stepper", which always wobbled and had me wary of tipping. The ladderpod is built like a tank - very sturdy with good strength steel (but not overly heavy). It was a snap to put together, which I appreciate as well. I have an old surgically repaired ACL in one knee, and a torn meniscus in the other, and in recent years had gotten away from proper training. Starting over had been slow going, but this has made it much easier, and with the simple height adjustments, lowered the barrier to making incremental progressions. I would've been happy if it was "just" a stepper, but the wider variety of exercises possible has been a bonus. It's still early days, but I'm confident that I'll finally be able to achieve the consistency necessary for real progress in getting my ankles, knees, and hips much stronger and more flexible than they are now. I wish this thing existed years ago before my injuries, and that I had the knowledge that I have now - probably could've done a lot to prevent those injuries by properly training my lower body.

ps. the Echo scraper tool has also really helped to improve the plantar fasciitis in my Left foot, and has helped my wife recover after her competitive pickleball sessions.

68 yr old senior wanting to ensure mobility

My ladderpod was easy to assemble. The quality of the ladderpod is excellent. Love the actual instruction manual. No need to go online. Looking forward to keeping my lower body mobile. First exercise calf raises.

Great tool!

It’s a great tool! Sturdy and simple to adjust. What I’d love to see for version 2: 1) laser cut numbers for heights. 2) Attention to detail: mine had multiple scratches in the metal and the pole handles have glue coming out around the seams. 3) I’d also love just black metal poles. I understand you want it to stick out, but in my gym, I don’t want it to. 4) more secure poles, they’re too wobbly , doesn’t pose an issue with support, just a tad annoying. Overall, best on the market available! Buy it!

Quality Build and Function

I knew my knee was feeling weak, but the LadderPod exposed just how weak it was. I put it on the absolute lowest setting to do "Patrick Steps" and struggled. I was floored.

For the positives:
It's built like a tank.
It is super easy to put together
The base is sturdy and welded together strong. It provides a lot of confidence while using. (see video)

Needs work:
In the ads, the color seems orange, but when it arrived, it appeared to be more "rose gold". I like it, but it is a slightly different color.

This should have a spot for wheels. I get the design choice (to make sure it's stable) but we should be able to tilt it and easily move it elsewhere.

I like that the poles are easy to remove and put back, but I wish it was less rattle when holding on to the poles. Maybe line the bottom interior with rubber or silicone for a quieter/more precise fit.

Solid build and Sturdy… but needed adjusting

I was very surprised by how well built the Ladder Pod is. It is easy to put together and easy to adjust the height. The only con I have, why it has 4 stars instead of 5, is that the one I received would not sit level (no matter where it was placed) and there are no built in levelers. I used a heavy duty composite wedge shim on the front right foot and that fixed it right up.
Tried a few step-ups / step downs and I love it.

Excellent Support for Strength Training and Injury-Aware Progressions

Pros
• Excellent tool for strength and rehab training, especially for safely regressing exercises. I currently use it for ski training.
• The poles provide meaningful stability and confidence during step-downs, which is invaluable for anyone managing prior knee injuries.
• Very effective for heel raises when working through Achilles tendonitis, allowing controlled load reduction and progression.
• Extremely sturdy and well-built; feels like a long-term piece of equipment rather than something disposable.
• Assembly is straightforward and can be done solo.

Considerations
• This is a large piece of equipment, so it’s important to plan space before purchasing.
• The price is on the higher side, though it feels justified by the build quality.
• Components are heavy, which is worth keeping in mind during assembly.
• An online, interactive setup and video exercise guide would be a welcome addition.
• Built-in attachment points for resistance bands could further expand its training versatility.

Great addition to my home gym

Loving the new addition to my home gym. The Ladder pod is solid, stable, adjustable "box".

Pros:
Fairly easy to assemble. Only 5 pieces in total that was not too hard to align and build by myself. The asymmetrical oversized wingnut/screw helped to get enough torque to ensure that the ladderpod was properly assembled for the stability.
Easily adjustable for height. Only need one box for step ups, pistol squats, etc and can quickly switch between exercise. No longer need multiple sized boxes, or get slowed down adjusting the boxes already on the market.

Cons:
Colour - I don't care for the orange, so I bought black grip tape to cover the orange poles.
Mobility - Would like to have wheels to move into position a bit easier. I have tile on my floor so it slides ok, but if you have gym flooring or carpet in your house it will be more cumbersome.
WingNut- the asymmetrical oversized wingnut/screw was helpful to assemble the ladderpod, but does not line up and can be a hazard for people walking by/near the ladderpod, beware of potential for broken toes.

Potential for improvements/upgrades:
I am tallish at 5'10, and it is too short to use a stretching platform as is demonstrated in videos and the instructional book. Taller increments would be beneficial for taller patients/customers.
Addition for Band Attachments would make this more versatile. The edges are fairly smooth, but worry about the increased friction that would fray and pop resistance or therabands sooner than later.

If you have the space, want the versatility, want the space saving design, or have a need for a more rehab focused box, I definitely recommend adding this to your home gym, or rehab facility.

Questions? We got you.

  • How often should I use the LadderPod?

Most users benefit from using the LadderPod 3–5 times per week. Start slowly, listen to your body, and increase frequency only as your endurance and tolerance improve.

  • Should I feel discomfort or pain?

Mild muscle discomfort is normal as your body adapts. Sharp or worsening pain is a sign to stop. Allow extra rest, and when you resume, use a lower height or lighter intensity to rebuild tolerance safely.

  • What is the maximum weight limit?

The LadderPod is built to safely support users up to 400 lbs (181 kg).

  • How long will it take to see improvement in strength or mobility?

Most users begin to notice improvements within 2–4 weeks of consistent use, but recovery timelines vary depending on the injury and individual effort. Stay patient and consistent with your program.

  • Is it safe for people with balance issues?

If you have balance concerns, consult your doctor or physical therapist before use. For added stability, make use of its two support rods, which are designed to help you maintain balance. You can also position the LadderPod near a wall or railing, or have a spotter assist during your sessions.

  • How stable is it on different surfaces (tile, carpet, gym floor)?

The LadderPod’s non-slip rubber base ensures stability on most flat surfaces. For slick or uneven floors, place it on a yoga mat or other grippy surfaces for added security.

  • Should I use it with shoes, or can I use it barefoot?

You can use the LadderPod either way, but supportive athletic shoes are recommended during rehab to improve grip and reduce joint strain.

  • Does it come with a warranty?

Yes. The LadderPod includes a 1-year warranty covering any manufacturing defects.

  • Is it suitable for both early-stage rehab and advanced strengthening?

Yes. Its adjustable height makes it ideal for both gentle early-stage exercises and more challenging strengthening drills as you progress.

  • How does the LadderPod’s adjustable height work?

The LadderPod adjusts in 2-inch increments, ranging from 4" to 26". This means you can start low for safety and confidence, then increase gradually as your strength and balance improve.

  • Can athletes use it for performance training (not just rehab)?

Absolutely. Many athletes use the LadderPod for plyometric work, agility drills, and targeted hip/knee strengthening beyond injury recovery.

  • Can I combine it with resistance bands or weights?

Yes. Once cleared by your therapist or doctor, you can add resistance bands, ankle weights, or dumbbells to increase the challenge.

  • Is it covered by insurance or eligible for reimbursement?

Some insurance plans or health spending accounts may cover rehab tools like the LadderPod. Check with your provider to confirm eligibility.
