A client ordered the Sidekick, had me try it out to see whether she bought a gimmick, I felt the results right away and decided to buy one for my studio and it has proven to be MAGIC - chronic foot pain decreased to zero, foot with lax ligaments “woken” up like never before, “frozen” ankle issue client looking for injections to deal with pain tries it today and movement happens and ankle discomfort gone. These results are only from the plantar flexion configuration, excited to see how the other configurations effect my own foot/body and my clients’ - thank you! Petra (Sphinx Pilates & ELDOA, Toronto)
I'm impressed with the quality of the muscle scraper and how effective it is! Easy to use and dig in on those sore spots. The pump gel works well and I was glad it doesn't have much of an odour. Happy with my purchase!
Still using it to improve all aspects of strengthening my foot. Thank you
This single-leg balance board is a game changer for ankle stability and injury recovery! 🦶💪 It’s well-designed, durable, and easy to use—plus, the customizable balance rods make workouts more effective. Just 3 minutes a day helps strengthen muscles and prevent pain. Highly recommend for athletes or anyone rehabbing foot/ankle injuries!
The SIDEKICK AxisBoard Single Leg Balance Board is really easy to use, and it works great. It's compact, and portable/travel-friendly. It is also padded, grips well, and is versatile - can be used for multiple purposes/reasons. It really helps to increase my strength, and balance, in my legs, ankles, and feet. It can be customized too - different configurations can be made based on the outcome you're looking for (for example: you can configure it to only focus on your ankle). Overall, I think it's very well made, well designed, and high quality - worth the price. I'd recommend it!PRODUCT: "SIDEKICK AxisBoard Single Leg Balance Board, Foot Strengthener For Sprained Ankles, Plantar Fasciitis | Physical Therapy For Foot & Ankle Injuries"
I ordered this foot balance board in hopes that it will help speed up the recovery process on my foot. This balance board is made of wood and is very solid and stable. It really seems to help with the mobility. It is so easy to use and can be used anywhere. Compared to others, this seems to be a great value as well.
The basis of this physical therapy tool is simple, but I've found it affective. My injuries are not recent but I'm aware of the imbalance between use of left and right. Using this tool I was able to see just how different my mobility is between left and right, which was more than expected. The provided enclose litterature is crucial to using this tool affectively. I started with and am still on the level 1 approach. Other than reading the information doing what it says is, well, the way to go.The removal and relocating of the 3 moveable items takes a bit of getting use to, and I do wonder how long the velcro-like if not actually velcro will last. That aside because time and use will tell. I'm really glad I picked up this tool and I can only see my improvement from it's use.
The Sidekick Axisboard is perfect for those that are interested in gaining better balance and strengthening their feet and ankles. I like the fact that it is not complicated, that it is compact, and can be folded into a backpack or knapsack making it perfect for storage and travel. It is simple to use and easy to understand. The laminated cards are very useful as they provide detailed and simple instructions with imagery on how to effectively utilize the board for the optimal benefits. As someone who dances and has had foot and ankle injuries, this is just what I have been seeking.
I've found this to be an excellent aid in strengthening my weak ankles. Its simple design, combined with the adjustable positions and levels, makes it incredibly effective for improving both ankle strength and balance. I'm really impressed with how well this trainer works.
I've seen this device on a few running and longevity youtube channels over the years, so I'm very happy to have picked this up. The design is so simple but super effective. The wood feels solid, and the velcro attachment on the bottom holds the pivot points very well but allows the flexibility to move them around and strengthen your foot from different angles. The kit comes with a really nicely designed and well-printed guide that will hold up to life in your home gym setup.Your stability and balance all starts at the foot, this tool will help you build this base of strength!
I didn’t expect to feel such a burn in my feet and ankles after just a few minutes. This board really targets muscles I haven’t used in a while. It feels solid and well made, and I like that it’s easy to switch up the setup to hit different areas. Definitely a smart buy for injury recovery or just improving balance and strength.
A family member has an issue with overpronation of one foot, and we got this to work on it. Setup to deal with this problem (or any of a variety of other problems) is easily explained by the cards that come with it, and there's also a short online video posted on the manufacturer's website. It's a long road to correct such a problem, and they have nine levels, so we're starting with the lowest level that done sitting down while doing any activity at the desk. We'll gradually advance through the levels, but for us being able to exercise while using the computer is always a big plus. It's a good product, and this seems to be a namebrand that others copy.
This board is a great invention for strengthening my feet and ankles. My husband and I have plantar fasciitis and he tends to roll his ankles more easily. There are levels through which you can advance to build your strength and stability, each with increasing difficulty. The potential in this tool is immense, despite its simplicity. There’s this grippy material that helps keep your feet from sliding off, minimizing accidents and further injuries.
Solid balance board. Simple effective design. Sections can be rearranged and tailored to your specific needs. Recommend.
This is exactly what my physical therapist uses with me during our sessions! The Sidekick helps to strengthen the intrinsic foot muscles as well as ankle stability. You can customize and rearrange the configuration of the pieces for your specific, strength-work needs. It's well made, and it also comes with a set of exercise instructions and progressions which are helpful for if you don't know where to start!
For how simple this item is compared to the price, I normally would have rated this just 4 stars… BUT the presentation of this item and how much extra material they provide to prepare you to use it really went above and beyond for me. Yes, it’s simple. But the extra effort put into ensuring it’s used properly means that this is going to actually be a useful device. The booklet it comes with is made of flexible plastic-like cards and it walks you through what kind of setup you might need for each kind of mobility concern. It also goes through stages of challenges that you can work through. It really made me feel prepared to use it.I have mild issues with my ankles and arches where they feel very tight and it’s hard to fully extend/walk on them without shuffling. Just a minute or so balancing and stretching on the platform takes a ton of that discomfort away. It’s also helped me challenge my balance since I’ve noticed I struggle with that more as I’m older. It’s a small device and can store easily away when not in use. It’s also small enough that it could be easy to travel with.
This is excellent for helping my weak ankles (due to sprains) get strength again. Unfortunately with a sprain, it's the tendon that's damaged, so it almost never feels healed unless you take time to re-strengthen it and that's what I am doing with this. I will admit that I am only on level one (sitting) but this comes with different positions for the board and different levels to work through to ensure a stronger ankle and better balance is possible. I an really impressed by the simple design and how effective this trainer actually is.
My feet are in heaven with this stability board. It allows for multiple movements/stabilizations by moving the velcro balance pieces around. It works even better than using balls under the feet, because you can really stabilize one area while moving the target area. The included booklet shows all the different variations of target areas and how to attach the velcro foot/rocker part to achieve this. It also shows the progression of beginner all the way to advanced balancing and sitting into a shooting duck skater's pose! I have never dreamt of such ankle and hip flexibility, but this tool already has me feeling more connection and flow into my feet, ankles, and lower legs than anything I've tried. And I only went through the first 3-4 variations but did some standing and balancing and lunging back and forth with and without a stability stick on the ground.Fun way to train, I might have to get another and bring to the office. There's a golfer I'm working with who is trying to rehabilitate his foot and this could be just what we need.

I suffer from accessory navicular syndrome (which caused fallen arches and plantar fasciitis in the past) and have accumulated several dislocations and sprains’ worth of connective tissue injury in both my ankles. I’m already a big fan of my round wobble board, so I was super excited to try this wobble board just for the foot. This product is aptly named because it’s going to be my sidekick going forward. It’s small enough that I can keep it out in my exercise area and easily work around it, or pop it in my gym bag and take it with me. This has unlocked so many new progressions for single leg balance exercises, in addition to the simple challenge of trying the balance configurations and progressions it suggests. The velcro is pretty fierce but it becomes much less of a hand workout to reposition the fulcrum bars as the velcro fluffs up. You might want a butter knife or something to help pry it free the first few times if you have low hand strength.Configuration 4 is probably my favorite, it lights up the stabilizers on either side of my right heel and up into my calf muscles. I’ve never been aware of anything working there before stepping onto this - it’s bringing me a little closure that I’m addressing some pretty old problems.I think if you’re looking at this versus a conventional wobble board, I’m inclined to suggest a conventional wobble board first, particularly if you’re not looking for something that emphasizes single leg balance. But if you’re looking to prehab or rehab your feet, ankles, and calves, or challenge your single leg balance abilities, this is it! And I’ve just blown my own mind at the prospect of using two of these at once. Honestly though, one is enough of a challenge. It’s pretty fun to go through the configurations and see which is the most humbling (and revealing). My friends and family have all been intrigued by it, though maybe it’s just politeness for my sheer enthusiasm about this product. With any exercise, consistency is key, and taking breaks for a while doesn’t mean you’ve fallen off any sort of wagon. I found my ankles pretty exercised and maybe a little strained after about 10 minutes of using this the first time around, and that’s with a lot of time already banked on a round wobble board. Go slow and try to get a good wobble in 1-2x a week, you’ll do great 👍

This SIDEKICK AxisBoard Single Leg Balance Board is an excellent compact balance training tool. This is so versatile and much more flexible for different types and levels of training than other much larger solutions being pushed all over social media. Living in a smaller condo, I honestly didn't want some big skateboard looking thing taking up valuable space in my living room. This SIDEKICK AxisBoard is the perfect size, and it perfectly stows away for when company drops by. It works exceptionally well, and is incredibly sturdy. It includes well thought out guide with instructions on how to configure the board for different levels and types of training. I definitely recommend this for anyone looking to improve their balance or work to recover from a strain or injury.
After a bilateral mastectomy 5 years ago, I have been dealing with truncal lymphedema, and some adhesions from the surgery that have caused me to feel like I have rubber bands stretched around my body. PT started using another company's scrapers on me, but since I want to be able to continue my treatment after PT, I found this scraper. I had a couple of PT appointments get cancelled, and used the Echo Muscle Scraper on myself, and found relief and a continuation of what the PT started. I am so happy with this!
I have a partial Achilles and Soleus rupture. This is really helping with rehab
