how to use your muscle scraper

Select Body Part

general use

1. scrape the target area

Using moderate pressure, begin scraping the target area for about 20 seconds. In this example, the target area is the latissimus dorsi (lats). Remember, it shouldn’t hurt!

2. scrape surrounding muscles

Scrape muscles surrounding the target area for further relief. If you find a grainy spot, focus on that area for an additional  20 seconds. In this example, Annie targets her upper tricep.
*A good rule of thumb is to remain at about a  6/10 on the pain scale while scraping
**Ensure to ALWAYS apply your Revive Emollient spray (included with your purchase) prior to scraping.

latissimus dorsi

shoulders (traps)

beginner

Side flex your neck in the opposite direction from the side you’re about to scrape. Make long broad strokes back and forth from the base of the skull to the shoulder. Continue for 20-30 seconds.

advanced

Get deeper relief by actively lengthening the tissue while scraping. Apply long distal strokes while flexing the neck to the opposite shoulder. Release the neck once each stroke is complete and continue for 10-20 reps per side.

hamstrings

beginner

With the knee bent, use the concave edge of your scraper and move back and forth along the hamstring for 20-30 seconds.
